REPORT CARDS....

A got his 3rd 9 weeks report card on Friday. He had all A's except for the B in reading. He loves to read- just not what he's told to read. We made a deal if he gets an A in reading this 9 weeks- which would be all A's- he gets a special prize (something he's been wanting for a while now). He must plan on doing this because he came home with a reading awards. His teacher is a cool guy and motivates these kids beyond belief. His teacher gives these out if you make an A+ on tests. A always has a spelling award- I figured we could end the 3rd grade on a high note and make the all A honor roll. The sad thing about all this is he never "studies". He will do his homework and pretty much gets it- not too hard- we were especially proud he made a 100 on his multiplication test (0-12) --his teacher gave out Cd's to anyone who made A+ on the first try. Like I said- he is a smart kid, just sometimes he wants to do other things than to study. We have less than 2 months left in school- the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train!! I think he might pull it off yet!
